We have decided to make Thursdays a programmed & coached WOD as of this Thursday the 8th. Swimming will be back in Summer (around sep-october) most likely for Thursday's and we will consider having the gym open again at selected class times.
We understand a lot of you like to use Thursdays for Catch-up/Skill practice/Mobility so we'd still like you to understand that you are more than welcome to come in & catch up on a WOD or use the gym to practice a skill as long as you aren't interfering with the class, or conflicting too much with the following few days of programming. This goes for all other days of the week aswell!
At the moment the only 'Open Gym' time is on saturday afternoons when notified on Facebook or here (or both). If you think that you would like open gym in other hours of the day throughout the week then please don't hesitate to comment or come and let us know because we are also thinking about opening up a few hrs throughout the week for this.
The weeks will now be programmed so you are able to complete 6 days of training back to back, which will open up opportunity for some of you that may miss a class or two throughout the week and like the structure of having a coach break down the workout each day you come in.
We understand not everyone can train all 6 days (Mon-Sat) so if you choose to have a 'rest day' other then sundays it will be on your own accord.
This will also open up more time to:
- Being exposed to progressions towards Skills you've never tried before and to be practiced individually throughout the week, broken down piece by piece, which we think is vital for those wishing to perform movements they tend to have to always scale in a 'WOD' but would love to do.
- Create a larger focus on Mobility. If the class runs over time but there is still some stretching/rolling to be done on the board, the coach will give you a brief run down and you can then go off and complete this on your own. Even if there isn't anything on the board, please feel free to stay back and stretch, if you don't know how to hit a target area then don't hesitate to ask us! Alot of us tend to leave without stretching at all and this can/will lead to injury over time if you're not careful.
